The right starting point
0580 or 0606?Start with your syllabus.
IGCSE Maths tuition should match the course on your timetable. Mathematics 0580 has Core and Extended routes. Additional Mathematics 0606 is a separate, more advanced subject, not another name for Extended Maths.
0580Core Mathematics
Build a stronger foundation.
Work on number skills, algebra, graphs, geometry, probability and statistics at the pace you need. A useful starting point when gaps in earlier topics make current lessons difficult.
Break unfamiliar questions into manageable steps.
Practise arithmetic and written methods without a calculator.
Prepare for Core Papers 1 and 3.
Find a 0580 Core tutor ↗
0580Extended Mathematics
Go beyond the first step.
Connect topics and practise the longer problems in Extended Maths. Lessons can focus on algebra, functions, trigonometry, vectors or the questions you find hardest to finish.
Use exact values and explain multi-step reasoning.
Review method, accuracy and exam timing together.
Prepare for Extended Papers 2 and 4.

0606Additional Mathematics
Make advanced Maths clearer.
Get an IGCSE Additional Maths tutor for functions, logarithms, trigonometry, series and calculus. The course builds on existing IGCSE Mathematics knowledge.
Understand differentiation and integration step by step.
Link algebraic methods to unfamiliar problems.
Prepare for 0606 Papers 1 and 2.

Understand it. Then practise it.
A tutor who followsyour thinking.
In a one-to-one lesson, there is time to ask why a method works. Your tutor can see where you get stuck, explain it another way and help you try the next question yourself.
1Find the missing stepStart with your current topic or a recent piece of work, rather than repeating everything you already know.
2Work through it togetherConnect the explanation to a worked example, then talk through the reasoning behind each line.
3Try it independentlyUse a similar question to check understanding and identify what needs more practice.
A glimpse of the approachOriginal example
0580 Extended: solve without a calculator.
x2 − 7x + 12 = 0
Which two numbers multiply to 12 and add to −7?
See the steps, not just the answer
The numbers are −3 and −4. Factorising gives (x − 3)(x − 4) = 0.
At least one factor must be zero, so x = 3 or x = 4. Substitute each value into the original equation to check it.
Taking 0606? Try a calculus example.
For y = x3 − 6x2 + 9x, find the x-values at stationary points.
Differentiate: dy/dx = 3x2 − 12x + 9. Set this equal to zero: 3(x − 1)(x − 3) = 0. Therefore x = 1 or x = 3.

Current-paper preparation
Prepare for the paperyou will actually sit.
Online IGCSE Maths tuition can include topic practice, past-paper review and timed questions. We match practice to your exam year, so an older paper does not become the only guide to your preparation.
Non-calculator practice matters. The 2025–2027 syllabuses include a dedicated non-calculator paper for both 0580 and 0606. Practise written working alongside scientific-calculator skills.

What is the difference between 0580 and 0606?Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics 0580 is available at Core and Extended levels. Additional Mathematics 0606 is a separate qualification that builds on IGCSE Mathematics knowledge and includes topics such as logarithms and calculus. An Extended 0580 student is not automatically studying 0606. Check the syllabus code with your school.
Are the online Maths lessons genuinely one-to-one?Yes. Regular Noble Educators tutoring sessions are for one student and one tutor, rather than a group class. The standard lesson length is 60 minutes. The introductory demo is a separate, free 30-minute session.
Can I get help with non-calculator papers and past papers?Yes. You can request non-calculator practice, topic questions, timed revision and past-paper explanations. For the 2025–2027 syllabuses, 0580 Papers 1 and 2 are non-calculator papers, while 0606 Paper 1 is non-calculator. Practice should always match your route and exam year.
Can I study with an India-based tutor from another country?Yes, online lessons can be arranged across countries, subject to tutor availability. Share the student’s country and preferred times in their local time zone. Our team will confirm a suitable schedule before lessons begin.
How much are online IGCSE Maths lessons?Request the current fees for your syllabus and intended lesson schedule. The team will explain the options before enrolment. There is no payment required to request the free 30-minute demo.
Can the tutor help me aim for an A or A*?You can request support towards a higher target grade, including more demanding questions, clearer written methods and timed practice. A grade cannot be guaranteed. For 0580, grades A and A* are available through the Extended route, not Core; your school decides your exam entry.
Can I take lessons for both 0580 and 0606?Yes. Choose “0580 + 0606” in the form and describe your priorities. The team can discuss whether a combined plan or separate lesson focus would better fit your current topics and exam timetable.
What happens after I submit the hero form? The form prepares your enquiry and opens WhatsApp addressed to Noble Educators at +91 9229648496. You review the message and press Send. Our team then discusses tutor options and confirms a demo time. Your request is not sent until you press Send in WhatsApp, and your demo is confirmed separately by our team.
