More than remembering a formulaUnderstand the idea.Then use the equation.
Knowing an equation is only the start. In a private Physics lesson, your tutor can follow your thinking, identify the missing step and help you solve the next problem independently.
1Make the situation clear.Use a sketch, a familiar example or a short explanation to understand what is happening before reaching for a formula.
2Show a complete method.Choose a relationship, rearrange it, substitute consistent units and check whether the answer makes sense.
3Try a different question.Change the numbers or the context. Explain your reasoning rather than copying a solution you have just seen.
Inside a Physics lessonOriginal practice example
Two resistors. One clear method.A 12 V supply is connected to 3 Ω and 5 Ω resistors in series. Treat the supply and wires as ideal. What is the current?
Two resistors in series across a 12 volt supplyA single closed loop contains a 3 ohm resistor, a 5 ohm resistor and a 12 volt battery, with no branches.
3 Ω5 Ω12 V
I = ?
R = R₁ + R₂ · I = V / R
Show the worked answer1. Add the series resistances: R = 3 + 5 = 8 Ω.2. Use the total supply voltage: I = 12 ÷ 8 = 1.5 A.3. Explain it: the same current flows through both resistors because there is only one path. The voltages across them are 4.5 V and 7.5 V, which add to 12 V.
A teaching example, not an official exam question. Ask “why?” at any point during your lesson.

Do not mix up the routes. Cambridge 0625 includes a practical component. Edexcel 4PH1 assesses experimental skills within its written examinations; it has no Cambridge-style Paper 6.

Questions, answeredBefore your firstPhysics lesson.Not sure about the exam board or which topic to start with? Share what you know and we’ll help you take the next step.Ask us on WhatsApp ↗Is 0625 the syllabus code for both Cambridge and Edexcel?No. 0625 identifies Cambridge IGCSE Physics. Pearson Edexcel’s linear International GCSE Physics is 4PH1. Edexcel also has a separate modular option. Check the code with your school or exam centre before choosing resources or booking a tutor.Are the online Physics lessons genuinely one-to-one?Yes. The regular lesson format is one student with one tutor, not a group class. Regular lessons last 60 minutes. The free introductory demo is a separate 30-minute session, used to discuss your goals and try the teaching approach.Can I get help with IGCSE Physics calculations?Yes. Request support with formula selection, rearranging equations, standard form, unit conversions and interpreting graphs. A lesson can focus on explaining your method and checking each step, rather than simply being given the final answer.Do you help with Cambridge Physics Paper 6?You can request Alternative to Practical support, including graphs, tables, variables and evaluating experimental methods. Tell us whether your school has entered you for Paper 5 or Paper 6. Online tutoring supports, rather than replaces, practical experience in a supervised setting.Can an Edexcel student use the same lesson plan as a Cambridge student?The boards share many Physics ideas, but their specifications and assessments are not identical. The tutor request should identify your board and code. This page describes Edexcel’s linear 4PH1 route; for a modular or different qualification, ask the team to confirm support.Can I book revision lessons for mocks or past papers?Yes. Share your exam year, the paper you are preparing for and the topics you need to revisit. You can ask for focused revision, explanations of past-paper questions or timed practice. The plan and lesson frequency are agreed before enrolment.How much does online IGCSE Physics tuition cost?Request the current fees for your board and planned lesson schedule. The team will explain the options before you enrol. No payment is required to request the free 30-minute demo; ongoing tutoring is a separate arrangement.Can I study with an India-based Physics tutor from overseas?You can enquire from any country. Share your local time zone and preferred lesson times; the team will check availability and confirm the schedule. This is online tutoring, not a claim that we have a local centre in every country.Can a tutor guarantee an A* or grade 9?No. Lessons can help you work towards your target through clearer concepts, purposeful practice and feedback, but no grade is guaranteed. Your starting point, independent work, exam entry and performance all matter.What happens when I submit the enquiry form?The form prepares a WhatsApp message addressed to Noble Educators at +91 9229648496. Review it and press Send in WhatsApp. Our team will then discuss tutor options, fees and available demo times. Preparing the message does not automatically send it or confirm a booking.
