    01

    Start with the right curriculum

Canada has provincial and territorial education systems, rather than one national school syllabus. Grade labels, subject names and senior pathways can differ. Choose your province below before treating a topic list as a full curriculum.

    02

    Building confidence in math

Use objects before symbols. Touch each object once while counting, then say the total. Ask the child to explain a comparison by matching objects in two rows. Lessons can alternate a modelled example, a question attempted together and an independent attempt so the tutor can see where understanding changes.

    03

Use school feedback to guide revision

Bring a recent question, marked solution or topic checklist. Explain where you got stuck. The next practice task should check that particular skill before introducing more complexity. Tutoring supports learning; assessed submissions remain the student’s own work.

Understand it. Try it. Review it.

Put your math learning into practice.
