01What we can work on together
Connect particle-level explanations with observable changes. Use chemical equations, amounts and units to make quantitative reasoning clear. Identify the species involved, balance the equation and label each quantity. Explain the chemical relationship before substituting numbers into a calculation.
02Match practice to your course
Cambridge International AS & A Level and other awarding bodies’ A levels have different specifications. Share the board, subject code, components and exam session. An AS-only course should not be treated as an entire A level.
03Make the lesson fit your school work in Hong Kong
For tutoring in Hong Kong, begin with the qualification rather than the school year alone. Students in the same year may take IB, IGCSE, A-level or HKDSE courses. Bring the current guide and recent feedback so the lesson follows your own pathway. Bring an attempted question so your tutor can see how you reason, then agree what to practise next.
