01What we can work on together
Read for meaning, support an interpretation with evidence and organise a clear response for its purpose and audience. Start with a short passage or your own paragraph. Identify one claim, locate the evidence and explain the connection, then revise a sentence to improve clarity.
02Match practice to your course
Consult HKEAA’s framework for your examination year. Mathematics compulsory work and extended modules are not interchangeable. English Language has its own skill requirements, and school-based assessment rules must be followed.
03Make the lesson fit your school work in Hong Kong
For tutoring in Hong Kong, begin with the qualification rather than the school year alone. Students in the same year may take IB, IGCSE, A-level or HKDSE courses. Bring the current guide and recent feedback so the lesson follows your own pathway. Bring an attempted question so your tutor can see how you reason, then agree what to practise next.
