    Your test, in context.

    Who it’s for

Students preparing for domestic or international AS/A-level qualifications.

    What to expect

Subject and board-specific assessment; domestic and international AS/A-level routes can differ in structure and how components contribute.

Choose a topic that fits your current level. These short samples support the skills discussed above; they are not a complete AS and A-level exam mock test.

Understand it. Try it. Review it.

Put your differentiation and integration learning into practice.

Worked example · Differentiation and integration

    Find the stationary point of f(x) = x^2 - 6x + 8.

    1. Differentiate: f'(x) = 2x - 6.
    2. Set f'(x) = 0, so x = 3.
    3. f(3) = -1. The parabola opens upwards, so (3, -1) is a minimum.
    Common mistakes to check
    • Forgetting the constant of integration
    • Assuming every stationary point is a maximum

    A focused way forward

Build a study routine around the test.

Begin with prerequisite gaps that limit later topics. Use a cycle of worked example, independent attempt and delayed review, then introduce mixed questions. For written subjects, improve a paragraph’s reasoning before rehearsing a full timed response.

    Discuss your next step
