SAT · ACT · PSAT Tutoring, One-to-One and Mapped to Your School

Admissions tests reward pattern recognition and pacing more than raw content. We start with a full diagnostic, then build a plan around the question types your student keeps losing marks on — not a generic curriculum. That means Bluebook and Desmos technique for the Digital SAT, per-section pacing drills for the ACT, and an early PSAT base so junior year starts ahead.

The SAT is now digital and adaptive

Every question is delivered inside College Board's Bluebook app, and performance in the first module decides which version of the second module appears. That changes preparation: students need to rehearse the actual environment, including the highlight and mark-for-review tools, the Desmos graphing calculator built into the Math section, and the device check before test day. Practising on paper alone leaves the format itself as an unwelcome surprise.

SAT or ACT — and when to sit which

The two tests reward different strengths. The ACT includes a Science section and moves faster per question, so pacing tends to be the limiting factor; the digital SAT is shorter but adaptive. Most students perform meaningfully better on one, and a diagnostic on each is the cheapest way to find out before investing a year of preparation. Sitting the PSAT earlier gives you the same signal with no stakes attached.

    Why the diagnostic comes first

Generic prep spends equal time on everything, including what the student already knows. We start with a full-length diagnostic, then build the plan around the specific question types losing marks — and re-test with timed sections so pacing improves under real conditions rather than in theory. Score reports get reviewed together, so the student can see which decisions cost points and why.
