AP Pre-Calculus Tutoring
- polynomial and rational functions
- exponential and logarithmic functions
- trigonometric and polar functions
- function modeling and AP-style reasoning
AP and Honors courses move fast, and the exam rewards a very specific kind of answer. We work the course units alongside your student's class, then drill the response formats examiners actually score — free-response structure, justification language, and the calculator or lab work that carries marks. Every session is recorded, so revision before the May exams does not mean starting from scratch.

$25 / sessionView courseWork through AP Chemistry calculations and concepts with careful setup, particle-level reasoning, lab analysis, and response practice that mirrors the course.
$25 / sessionView courseUse diagrams, equations, graphs, and evidence together to solve AP Physics problems with the precision and explanation the course requires.

$28 / sessionView courseTurn dense biology units into connected systems, diagrams, vocabulary, evidence-based explanations, and confident test preparation.
$18 / sessionView courseLearn chemistry as a connected set of patterns: particles, bonding, reactions, moles, energy, and calculations that show what is happening at the molecular level.
$18 / sessionView courseMake physics problems less mysterious by choosing a model, drawing the situation, connecting variables, and checking whether the result makes physical sense.

Every course below is taught one-to-one, so the tutor works the topics your student needs in the order their class needs them. These are the units we cover most often.
Where students get stuck
What changes
A 45-minute session that finds which standards are secure and which are not, before anyone pays anything.
We match on curriculum experience, not just subject, so the tutor already knows the sequence your school follows.
Every lesson is recorded and chaptered, and you get a progress summary you can take to parent conferences.
Knowing the content is necessary but rarely sufficient. Free-response questions award points against a published rubric, and students routinely lose marks for correct thinking that was never written down: no units, no justification, a graph left unlabelled, a conclusion stated without linking back to the evidence. Sessions rehearse the answer format alongside the content, so the work on the page collects the points the student has actually earned.
AP courses cover a year of college material in a school year, and a week of illness can leave a gap that never gets filled. Because sessions are one-to-one and weekly, the tutor can run two tracks at once: keep up with whatever the class is doing now, and quietly repair the unit that got missed. Recordings matter here more than in any other course, since May revision covers material first taught in September.
Families often ask which course to take rather than how to pass one. AB and BC share most of the differential and integral calculus; BC adds series, parametric and polar work and moves faster. Honors courses are a reasonable step before AP if the foundation is uneven. The free diagnostic is a low-risk way to answer that question with evidence instead of guessing, and it does not commit you to anything.
Yes. We start from the pacing guide and textbook your school actually uses, then plan around the AP & Honors topics your student has not secured yet. Nothing is taught out of sequence with their class.
Every lesson is live and one-to-one. Sessions are also recorded and chaptered so your student can revisit any explanation before a test.
Subject testing, a teaching demo, reference checks and background screening. Tutors are matched by curriculum experience, not just subject.
A full 45-minute lesson, a written skills snapshot, and a proposed term plan. No payment details are required to book it.
