    There is no national curriculum in Canada, so Grade 12 is defined by your province or territory — and two of them do not even call it that. This is the senior years, where course choices start to affect what a student can apply to after school.

    2 jurisdictions name this differently.

    • Quebec: no direct equivalent — Quebec has no Grade 12. Students finish at Secondary V and move on to CEGEP.
    • Newfoundland and Labrador: Level III — Newfoundland and Labrador names senior high years Levels I to III.
