Know what comes next
FAST covers ELA Reading in grades 3 to 10 and Mathematics in grades 3 to 8. It is given three times a year, as PM1, PM2 and PM3, and only PM3 counts for school accountability, so the first two show the gaps while there is time to close them. FAST is online and computer-adaptive. Results are reported in Levels 1 to 5, where Level 3 is on grade level.
The B.E.S.T. EOCs are Algebra 1 and Geometry, also online and computer-adaptive. Writing in grades 4 to 10 is a separate B.E.S.T. test. To graduate, students must pass the Grade 10 FAST ELA Reading test (at PM3) and the Algebra 1 EOC, or meet them with concordant or comparative scores from other tests. Geometry is not a graduation requirement.

Yes. FAST and the Algebra 1 and Geometry EOCs are computer-adaptive, so questions adjust to the student's earlier answers, and practice covers easier and harder questions on each topic.
